Brittany’s Beautiful Home Birth Video
This was my second Hypnobabies birth and this one I had at home. It was an amazing experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed my entire birth experience. You can see me having conversations and laughing between birthing waves (Hypnobabies term for contractions). One thing to note is that I am hard of hearing. I have hearing aids that have Bluetooth, and I was listening to the tracks towards the end. Dana (my doula) was reading scripts all through the beginning and using the Relax (Hypnobabies cue to deepen hypnosis) and Peace (Hypnobabies cue for instant physical comfort) cues. You can see at the end of the video when the baby comes out I even tell my husband to “pause it” because I was listening to Pushing Baby Out (Hypnobabies track for pushing). I had my toddler there because I wanted her to see firsthand what a calm birth looked like and how it isn’t scary. She was so excited. With Hypnobabies, I was able to tune out everyone during the waves and focus on birthing the baby. It didn’t bother me that there were so many family members or that my daughter was running around and yelling at times. I was so calm and in a trance. Hypnosis completely worked for me as you will see in this video- so much so- that I am a Hypnobabies birth doula. I haven’t set up my profile yet because I had a baby and have put it on hold at the moment. But it’s completely changed the way I view birth. At first, I thought I was just learning hypnosis for the unknown pain I thought I would have… but, it was so much more. The course talked about things I had not even thought about or had an opinion on. I felt so informed and prepared. I hope this video shows more people how a birth can be- calm, relaxed, beautiful, intimate, and empowering.
