Rebecca Lawson (Lincoln, NE) The course of my life changed drastically after attending Hypnobabies classes with my husband during my first pregnancy. I felt a strong desire to help other women birth their babies with peace and empowerment. I learned so much about birthing and hypnosis for childbirth after attending the instructor training in 2011, which in turn has allowed me to see the impact Hypnobabies has on moms in my community. I’ve now been teaching for almost five years and I feel so blessed to have such a rewarding job, doing something I am passionate about! ~ Rebecca www.heartlandhypnobabies.com
Amanda Patrick Johnson (Readyville and Murfreesboro, TN) I am a researcher. Before I was even pregnant, I had decided that I would take Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis because the class materials were so extensive and THOROUGH. I learned more in those six classes than I had in my entire life about birth and my body, and the hypnosis I learned guided me through two joyous and comfortable births. I knew I had to become an instructor to share this with more women in my rural area. After completing my training, I am confident in my abilities and my knowledge as an instructor, because the training was exemplary. The prerequisites, course material, and exam are exactly what I wanted out of a childbirth training course. I certified under Hypnobabies, because they care about the mamas being taught in class and the instructors that teach them. ~ Amanda
Cassie Friesen (Boulder and Denver, CO) I was still in the birth tub holding my sweet newborn when I told my husband, “I have to tell other moms about this!” It wasn’t long before I looked up information on becoming a Hypnobabies instructor so I could bring this birthing option to other women in my community. The most challenging part of the training was listening to Kerry, the founder of Hypnobabies (aka The Voice on all the tracks) because I was so relaxed. As I became immersed in the Hypnobabies organization, I found one of my closest friends and have been so grateful at the support of these wonderful members as we work to provide women with powerful tools for the easiest, most comfortable childbirth possible! ~ Cassie
Kimberly Gross (Huntington Beach, CA) When I decided to become a childbirth educator the Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis program stood out as the most thorough and well supported program out there. Having already been a doula for a couple years I was surprised and thrilled by how much more this training taught me about childbirth and gave me the confidence to educate and empower women and their families. Teaching Hypnobabies is such a joy and I look forward to each new class series. Watching the transformation of our Hypno-moms and their partners from being unsure and nervous about birth to being calm, confident and empowered is so fulfilling. I am honored to be a part of the Hypnobabies team that helps ensure this is the most comprehensive program out there to educate and empower women and their families to have a beautiful, peaceful and comfortable pregnancy and birthing experience. I am so excited with where my life has taken me, educating and supporting families is my deepest passion and my goal is to enrich the lives of every family I work with. ~ Kim http://www.serenebirths.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/Serene-Births-207820829773/
Jamie Brodhead Wagner (West Jordan, UT) was so excited when the stars aligned for me to attend the Hypnobabies Instructor Training in 2011! I had used Hypnobabies for my first baby’s birth, and loved it so much that I knew I had to teach it! Teaching Hypnobabies has not only allowed me the privilege of helping expectant mamas and their birth partners to prepare for their babies’ births in such a loving and empowering way, but it has also boosted my personal confidence and given me an outlet for my passion for everything birth and babies. Being a Hypnobabies Instructor has given me so many opportunities (even outside of being an instructor) to serve as a source of education and support for expectant parents in my circle of friends, my family, and my community. ~ Jamie

Jenny Bennett (Atlanta, GA) Hypnobabies is such an incredible asset to practice with. It’s helped me carve out a niche in my community and my doula clients who take the class are incredibly prepared for their births in so many ways, most importantly prepared to embrace the experience whatever it may bring. For me, it’s integral to keeping my practice sustainable. ~ Jenny http://expectingthebestbirth.com
Laura Lulic-Timpane Hanstad (Minneapolis, MN) The preparation for my Hypnobabies course was so valuable even before I attended the live portion of training. I gained so much knowledge about hypnosis and the mind/body connection that was immediately applicable to my work in the birth world. During the live training, I received detailed instruction on how to run a course series offering evidence based information and how to interact with my students. The post-training work towards certification helped pull everything together that I had learned to put it into practice. ~ Laura http://www.allthingsbirthmn.com/ https://www.facebook.com/AllThingsBirthMN/
Coleen Holder (Vancouver, Canada) I feel honoured and proud to be a Hypnobabies Instructor. I find it nearly impossible to put my name to referring anyone to anything but, when I came across Hypnobabies, I could agree with absolutely everything and it actually worked. I love to share with clients and providers how unique it is to be affiliated with an organization that holds itself and its instructors to the highest standard of excellence. What other prenatal instructors out there all present the same effective exceptional quality of information, that is continually updated to reflect the most current research? Where is there an organization of instructors not only encouraged to keep up with evidenced based birth knowledge but, are required to take continued education credits each year, in order to re-certify as instructors? I love sharing with my students how and why each and every aspect of the program contributes to their positive birth experience. I love that my students understand the thought and experience that went into each aspect of the program. There is nothing better than hearing from students after their baby comes, that they felt prepared for birth and empowered by the knowledge they gained. No matter how their birth turned out, they say Hypnobabies never failed them. They had the tools for every eventuality of their birth journey. Just these facets alone set us apart from any prenatal program out there. ~ Coleen Holder
Lety Knight (El Paso, TX) When my Hypnobabies instructor decided to move onto other projects I knew I had to keep this amazing program in El Paso. I had been a stay at home mom for almost 7 years and I knew that if I was going to start working at anything it would have to be something I was passionate about and that I’d be able to work my own schedule. I had my Skype interview with Hypnobabies on my birthday and when we got off I called my husband with excited tears in my eyes and said to him “I’m doing this!” to which he replied “Happy birthday, baby. Go get it.” I had never been so determined to do anything outside of raising my kids as I was to complete all my certification requirements. I knew then and still know now that Hypnobabies is the best way expectant couples can prepare for their births because they’re learning techniques and skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. I want to help parents not only feel confident and empowered about their birthing, I want them to feel confident and empowered as parents because that’s what Hypnobabies has done for me. ~ Lety https://letyknight.com/
Aileen Larson (St. Paul, MN) I had been a doula for about a year when I attended my first Hypnobabies birth. It was AMAZING – peaceful, empowering for the couple, joyful, and comfortable – despite the fact that the mother was being induced for HELLP syndrome. I left that birth and immediately filled out the application to become a Hypnobabies Instructor. Then, during my preparation for becoming an instructor, I found out I was pregnant with my third baby. I took a Hypnobabies class from Anne Deitch Ferguson and hired her to be my Hypno-doula. My birth was a wonderful and powerful experience, and my hypno-baby is my calmest and easiest child. I’ve been teaching Hypnobabies classes for about three years and I love teaching it for many reasons. People who take the class are well informed consumers, partners know how to support the birthing person well, and the hypnosis tools are powerful and effective. I look forward to teach for many years to come! ~ Aileen www.bywaterbirth.com
Ricky Issler (Beaumont, AB, Canada) After practicing as a doula for about a year I was looking to add something else to my services. I came across the Hypnobabies website and the program really resonated with me. I thought I’d just start by taking the on-line Hypno-Doula training, but before I was even done that I knew I had to take the instructor training and offer this amazing program to couples in my area. There were no other instructors here at the time. It was a great decision and I’m so proud to be a part of such a wonderful organization. The team at head office is very supportive and the camaraderie and support from other Hypnobabies instructors all around the world is amazing! Being a Hypnobabies instructor is very rewarding and we fill such a special niche in the childbirth education field. I feel like I have something very extraordinary to offer expectant moms, and I guess that’s because I do thanks to Kerry and the team at Hypnobabies! ~ Ricky www.comfortinghandsdoula.com
Tanya Revoir (Mission Viejo, CA) After using Hypnobabies for the birth of my son I knew I wanted to share it with others. My sister also chose Hypnobabies for the birth of her daughter after seeing my amazing experience. I was apprehensive when I researched becoming an instructor as I was not part of the professional birth community. The Hypnobabies instructor training was very comprehensive and I felt confident teaching the course after the training was complete. The Hypnobabies family is all very supportive and there to help even after training ended, which is an added bonus! ~ Tanya www.hypnobabieswithtanya.com

Tracy Schmitz (Mississauga, ON Canada) When I found out I was pregnant in 2014 it hit me that I was actually going to be birthing my baby and I got scared. I didn’t know what to expect but I decided I needed to find a program that would help me. I found Hypnobabies and since there were no classes within 3 hours of my house, I decided to try the home study course. I now tell people that Hypnobabies saved me. I was no longer scared for my baby’s birth; I was excited! After my daughter’s birth (a very fast and easy birth) I felt the need to tell women that they too can actually have good birth stories. I contacted Hypnobabies asking if there was a way that I could help spread the word in my area. The response was “become an instructor!”. I wasn’t sure at first but I recognized that there was a need for it here. Every time I heard someone talk about birth in a negative way it fueled me even more and before I knew it I was signing up for the training in April 2016. I have now just completed the exam and received my official certification. It was a lot of work but everyone was so helpful if we had any questions, and it was worth it! I have come out of it feeling very confident that I am ready to teach my classes and it’s very comforting knowing that I have the whole Hypnobabies network with me if I need help or advice. I am so excited to start running classes and helping women have the birth experience that they deserve! ~ Tracy www.betterbirthexperience.ca
Nicole DiBella (Atlanta, GA) Like most birth workers, it was my birth experience that led me to becoming a Hypnobabies Instructor and Hypno-Doula. I birthed without fear, without complications, without interventions, and nearly without pain! It was my Hypnobabies class that helped make it happen that way. I have been teaching since 2012 and I am invigorated in each class by the incredible content I get to share. I know that I can trust the Hypnobabies team to provide the best information available so that our classes are the most comprehensive and convenient, because it’s all in one place. Students are able to utilize the education to make challenging decisions and navigate any possible birth scenario. The Hypnobabies hypnosis techniques create a much calmer, and much more comfortable experience because of the wide variety of cues each student has perfected. The team behind Hypnobabies is ultra supportive and very responsive to our needs and questions. These classes are in high demand and I would love to see more Instructors here with me in Georgia! ~ Nicole www.AdventuresInChildbirth.com
Chelsea McCormack (Prince George, BC, Canada) Every time I teach Hypnobabies class and journey through the program with my lovely couples the content impresses me more! It is so wonderfully powerful to guide families to realize they have a voice and choices in their birth experience, and watch them love and embrace hypnosis. The Hypnobabies program is very thoughtfully put together, the class content, home play, external sources to research; it’s all around as complete a childbirth course as you can get! ~ Chelsea www.freshdeliverieshypnobabies.com https://www.facebook.com/freshdeliverieshypnobabies/
Jenn Anthofer (Carroll, IA) I first learned about Hypnobabies from a chiropractic patient a little over 4 years ago. She came in for her adjustments and would tell me all about the wonderful things she was learning in her class, and the amazing Hypnosis techniques that she was learning to use during her birthing time. I still remember her excitement after she had her baby boy and had an easy, comfortable birth (pitocin-induced) without the need for any medication for discomfort! I knew then that I wanted to add Hypnobabies to my professional certifications and bring it to the community I would live and practice in! The program is so complete, and really empowers women to take charge of their birth and the experience they want to have! I truly believe in the power of the mind, the importance of language and positive affirmations, and all of this is incorporated into the Hypnobabies program along with so much more! I am currently taking classes myself with my husband and doula in anticipation of our first child coming later this year, and I can’t wait to have an easy, comfortable birth with Hypnobabies! ~ Jenn https://www.facebook.com/JoyHypnobabies/
Jen Procter Andrews (Portland, OR) I’m a Hypnotherapist, and first learned about Hypnobabies online, while doing research on hypnotic anesthesia for some marketing materials I was putting together. I became instantly shocked and dismayed to learn of the state of maternal health, parental rights and baby care in the US. I am so grateful to be able to help parents navigate this often vulnerable and confusing time in the manner that best suits their individual needs. I see my work teaching Hypnobabies as helping families advocate for their own civil rights. The more I teach, the more I learn that being in that room with those excited, loving, joyful families learning information that changes their lives, is a pure thrill. No matter what the week has brought my way, when I’m in that classroom teaching, it’s complete joy. In addition, I get to “work” with all of the amazing other instructors and smile really hugely every time I get the notice of a mom having a positive birth experience that changed her life. My hope is that these positive experiences will ripple throughout the community and someday we will not have to so strongly advocate for our basic rights – since even sometimes caregivers are changed by them as well. (Oh, and all the baby announcements are awesome!)

Susan Radomski McClutchey (Durham, NC) When I had my second baby using the Hypnobabies Home Study. I wanted to take a live class, but the closest instructor was several states away and I fervently wished we had one closer to us. I was the first mother at my birth center to learn Hypnobabies. My birth involved complications that should have made it particularly painful and potentially traumatic. Despite that, I experienced it in a very positive way. My midwife was amazed by my birth, but assumed my ability to have a calm, smiling demeanor at full dilation and a 6 minute pushing phase with a compound presentation baby was “a fluke”. Shortly after greeting our baby, my husband turned to me with joy and gratitude in his eyes and said, “Why don’t more people know that birth can be like this?”
Two weeks later, the birth center witnessed their second Hypnobabies birth and my midwife called me to find out more about the program, because it was clear that those two calm, happy births were the result of Hypnobabies and were not flukes! The midwife said, “Why don’t we have anyone in our area teaching Hypnobabies? Our community really needs it.” That was when I decided to step very far out of my comfort zone, and become a Hypnobabies instructor. I had a busy career, a growing family, and an inherent shyness that made the idea of teaching a scary prospect. But I knew it was something that parents in our area needed. I never planned to take on a role like this and didn’t think of myself as a teacher. I thought I would teach for a couple years to fill a need in our community, until “real” instructors came along.
Then I started teaching. I was given all the information, materials, and support I needed to provide my students with everything they needed to have a birth as wonderful as mine. I watched my students go from nervous but hopeful to confident and joyful. I saw their happy faces as they told me about their births with pride and gratitude. Twelve years later, I am still teaching and have no intention of stopping anytime soon. Being a Hypnobabies instructor has become a large part of who I am, and I am so glad I had the courage and opportunity to become one. http://tranquilbirthing.com
