In addition to Hypnobabies® Instructor and Doula certification, I have trained with: the International Childbirth Education Association both as a birth educator and doula; Calm Birth® Meditations for Pregnancy, Birth, and Beyond; and HUG Your Baby®. My academic work on modern maternity gave me a wonderful opportunity to explore cultural constructs of what parenthood "should" be. My own journey to motherhood ignited a passion for looking outside the mainstream to find what these roles mean to each unique person. I especially enjoy working with moms and partners seeking to manage daily stresses and anxieties in addition to the specific concerns of pregnancy and birth.
With my first baby, I was terrified of giving birth and buried in the stresses of pregnancy, teaching, and writing a dissertation. Hypnobabies® helped me to find my center, stay calm and confident, and rock my daughter's birth! I am thrilled to be able to help other mothers and couples learn this program and meet parenthood with peace, power, and joy.
