Jazmin’s Hypnobabies Change of Plans Hospital Birth
“My husband supported me through every pressure wave, giving me keywords like Relax (to deepen hypnosis) and Peace (for instant physical comfort) to go deeper and deeper into hypnosis. We were vibing off one another and I was at peace, fell deeper in love with my husband and enjoyed every wave (Hypnobabies word for contraction)that went through my body.”
Hypnobabies® – Natural Childbirth at its best!
Short Back story: my first pregnancy I had an amazing doula Angela Doula Brown, but I wasn’t mentally prepared like I thought I was to have the natural birth I wanted. Unfortunately, I had an overbearing ex-husband, my doctor was out of control and my voice was not heard the way I wanted it to be. Long story short I went 33 hours of birthing time (Hypnobabies word for labor), and at 27 hours got an epidural, and had a C-section because the baby was sunny side up. At that time, I did dilate and efface and baby was at -2 and my body only opened to 7 centimeters. During that time, I felt I tried everything I could.
2nd pregnancy (1st hypno-baby)
On October 8th I began to feel small pressure waves (Hypnobabies word for contractions), baby hadn’t dropped yet so I did not think it was a big deal, so I listened to my hypnosis tracks. At this point in time, I’m 40 weeks and just waiting for the baby to make her entrance into the world. So, I began listening to my tracks and realized these pressure waves were coming frequently but still very scattered, so my husband and I began listening more and more.
Now, this was my first hypno-baby and I was super excited because I was about to have my baby the way I wanted to, which was naturally. My husband supported me through every pressure wave, giving me keywords like Relax (to deepen hypnosis) and Peace (for instant physical comfort) to go deeper and deeper into hypnosis. We we’re vibing off one another and I was at peace, fell deeper in love with my husband and enjoyed every wave that went through my body. Definitely different from the first pregnancy.
A few days had gone by and still no baby, we listened to Come Out Baby (Hypnobabies hypnosis track to encourage baby to be born), Hypnobabies VBAC hypnosis track and my husband speaking to me…we swayed back & forth, used the ball, curb walked, everything our Hypnobabies class taught and more because husband went on YouTube too lol. We decided to go to the hospital on October 11th. We went to the hospital because I did not feel right, my body began shaking in spurts and frequently, this was new to me. My hospital knew my plan and was very supportive, checked everything and when I got in I was 5cm, and cervix was thinned and the baby was at -1 station and well on her way…
While in the hospital waves began coming more frequently and my husband and I were determined. I keep saying my husband and I because we felt like one, his energy and aura was beautiful and his love ran through my body. My water broke on its own this time and I was at 8 cm and at 0 station and was waiting for baby. (BUBBLE OF PEACE PLEASE).
I began feeling burning sensations down my spine and through my back this was all new to me but felt it was part of the plan. Even with my hypnosis for some reason, that sensation stuck out like a sore thumb but I kept pushing through it, it was then when the doctor came in and noticed the baby was in distress. My doctor was also a midwife and gave me options before C-section.
After about 5 minutes of thinking what to do the baby was not doing well and we had to go into an emergency c section. It turned out she was Sunnyside and struggling as time was ticking by. I was devastated yet extremely proud of myself. I cried because we deviated from the plan but the baby was in distress and wanted no harm to come of her.
My body and I tried to the very best of our ability, we made it to about 8.5 cm and was fully effaced more than the first pregnancy. I still had the pregnancy I wanted in the sense of support from my husband, not chaotic, and naturally doing what my body was meant to do.
Lily Rose Perez was born on October 11th, 8 lbs 11 ounces and 21 inches, at C-section and if it weren’t for Hypnobabies this could have been a way different experience, but extremely happy and grateful it happened the way it did.
My husband took a lot of the pictures but when I needed him, he was there when a pressure wave came I would say “pineapple” and he was there hahaha.
