I love everything from pregnancy to parenting, and my passion is contagious! In addition to teaching the amazing Hypnobabies program, I am continually learning the latest and greatest information about natural childbirth and breastfeeding. I am available for breastfeeding support before and after your baby arrives. Along with leading two La Leche League meetings per month, I teach breastfeeding classes around town. As a certified parent educator (AHPE) through Attachment Parenting International, I help many parents find their way to becoming the kind of parent that feels great to them. I love helping people get to those “A-ha” moments with their parenting that changes their lives forever, and the lives of their children.
I am a mother to three amazing children, all Hypnobabies water births at home. I am married to my equally amazing best friend who fulfills his role as terrific Hypno-Dad. Even though I LOVED all three of my Hypnobabies birth experiences, it wasn’t until I became a La Leche League Leader did I think about becoming a Hypnobabies Instructor. My LLL meetings were often full of stories from many mothers who were having incredibly complicated issues breastfeeding, to the point that it was damaging their confidence as mothers and causing them to prematurely wean their babies and give up on their breastfeeding goals. Through research I discovered that so many of their breastfeeding issues were due to unnecessary hospital interventions during birth. I was also discovering that these mothers were not learning from other childbirth preparation classes everything they needed to know to help them have the beautiful, easy, comfortable and natural childbirth of their dreams. Since I had the birth of my dreams, and I was meeting so many others who were not, I soon realized I had to make the Hypnobabies program more accessible to mothers in my area. My Hypnobabies birth experiences and my breastfeeding journey (going on eight years straight and three babies later!) has made me the parent and the person that I am today.
