Along with being a trained Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula and working with families as a birth doula, I love being a sibling doula and providing lactation support through my business, Earth Mama Empowered Birthing. I also enjoy teaching breastfeeding and childbirth education classes. I work with mamas and partners planning hospital, birth center, and home births.
I am certified as a birth doula through toLabor and am a member of the Colorado Doulas Association. I am also certified in pediatric CPR/AED and have completed workshops on working with pregnant childhood sexual abuse survivors, rebozo for birth professionals, and family centered cesarean. I also have a personal interest in working with VBAC mamas.
Birth is a normal, natural process. I believe in a woman’s ability to give birth as well as her right to give birth in the way she chooses. My goal is to empower women and their partners through education to make informed decisions pertaining to their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. I am here to provide the unique emotional and physical support needed throughout this process by each family I work with. My hope is to make this journey as peaceful, empowered, and special as I can for each new mama and her family.
I love working with Hypno-families who are usually incredibly well prepared for birth. My favorite part is seeing the deep connection between mama and partner that has come from all of the practice they have done together. I love seeing them work as a team and helping with the process as necessary. I became a Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula because I love working as a birth doula and had heard wonderful things about how amazing Hypno-births tend to be.
I have two children (and a third on the way) and will be returning to doula work in late 2016. It was the birth of my first daughter in 2011 that inspired me to become a doula.
My birth doula services include two prenatal visits, continuous birthing time support beginning whenever you wish for me to join you until 1-2 hours postpartum, one postpartum visit, your own rebozo to keep, and access to my lending library and collection of resources.
