I am a certified Birth Doula and Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula. I provide touch therapy for my Hypno-moms that compliments their learned self-hypnosis techniques and creates a safe peaceful loving space that we can bring with us into her birthing time.

To celebrate a mother before the birth of her new family, I offer A Mother’s Blessing ceremony. The ceremonies are based on the beautiful tradition of the Navajo Indians called The Blessingway. Unlike a traditional baby shower, the women dearest to the mother come together in a ceremony that specifically honors her. Each ceremony is tailored to represent the mother’s beliefs and values. The women present join together to help mother mentally, physically and spiritually prepare for a new season in her life.

Once I received the calling to be a Doula, I never doubted it was right for me. Each Mother that comes to me is like one of my own daughters. I educate, empower, and encourage those that I serve. Whether or not birth is at home, a hospital or birthing center, birthing organically or medically assisted, I feel every woman deserves a loving and supportive Doula. My goal is to help each family have a positive birthing experience. One that they can come away from feeling that they not only actively participated in but had a voice in.

Historically, during their birthing time, women were surrounded by other women. Midwives, mothers, sisters and female elders within their communities. The modern-day birth journey is a bit different as, over time, birth became institutionalized. I feel it is important to bring back the circle of sisterhood to birth. The loving connection of female spirits sharing a miraculous event. At the same time, it is just important to also honor the mother’s partner and welcome them into the space as well. I have learned that, in addition to physically and emotionally supporting a growing family, it is just as essential to hold and protect the birthing family’s space of peace and serenity.

I would love to speak with you to discuss how I can support and serve your family on their upcoming birth journey.

Peace, Love & Blessings
