I have always had a passion for helping others. As your doula, I will be with you every step of the way- from exploring all your options prenatally to birth and the fourth trimester. I stay up-to-date with the most current research and am constantly pursuing continuing education opportunities; in the last 3 years I have trained in Spinning Babies techniques as well as use of the Rebozo. I approach prenatal education, birth, and the postpartum period in a holistic manner; I make certain that the individuals and families I work with have access to evidence-based resources and information as well as support for total wellbeing- mind, body, and spirit.

I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, trained through Doula Trainings International (DTI). I am also a childbirth educator, offering group and private childbirth classes, with my childbirth education training through the Bradley Method(r) of Natural Childbirth. I pride myself in providing non-biased and inclusive care for all of the individuals and families I have an opportunity to support, no matter how you foresee your journey unfolding. I respect, admire, and appreciate the uniqueness of each birth experience.

I have a professional and personal passion for birth & maternity care. I have an undergraduate degree in Family Science from the University of Maryland; my passion throughout my coursework there was in maternal and infant health. I have been active in my support for organizations such as Maryland Families for Safe Birth and Improving Birth for over 7 years. I am also an active member of my local La Leche League chapter and enjoy attending monthly meetings to support other local nursing families.
