Tiffany’s Exhilarating Hypnobabies Hospital Birth

“I’ve never felt more empowered, strong or like I could conquer the world after giving birth without drugs. It was exhilarating and magnificent and I wanted to scream it from the mountains what I badass I felt like.”

Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis really does help you enjoy a much easier and more comfortable birthing! Use code hypno1528 for 10% off our Hypnobabies Home Study Courses.

My bag of water released around 3 am on 1/9/2020. I had a midwife appointment scheduled for 9 am anyway, so I went back to sleep listening to Easy First Stage track (Hypnobabies’ main birthing time track) in hopes my birth waves (Hypnobabies word for contractions) would begin and pick up on their own. Come appointment time, they hadn’t picked up, but since I was “late” I had an NST and US to check fluid levels- which were both great! I went home to try “all the things” to get this baby out!

After 12+ hours, no consistent birthing waves were started so we went to the hospital for monitoring and some gentle active augmentation of my birthing waves with Pitocin (cue my own BOP– I really wanted to avoid this– but birthing plans change). Pitocin started at 7 pm and they slowly increased it per my request, I told them when I was comfortable with the increase.

I was able to stay in hypnosis with my light switch at center (Hypnobabies technique to be in hypnosis while being able to walk, talk and move around) listening to tracks, until transformation (Hypnobabies word for transition) and then I needed some extra guidance to focus and relax and release from my mom and my husband and midwife. During transformation, I was in some out of body time continuum and I couldn’t even tell you how long (or short) it lasted but it was truly out of this world.

My mom and midwife-assisted me thru it and before I knew it, I was somehow back up in the bed, squat bar in place and ready to push. My midwife-assisted baby’s head thru the cervix with my first pushing wave in order to push back a slight lip on the cervix. The next wave I tried pushing on the squat bar which ended up not feeling right at all and surprisingly, I ended up back on my back because that felt good (which I originally wanted to avoid) and his head was out at the end of the 3rd wave. At 2:04 am on January 10th, 2020; our sweet baby boy was born. I’ve never felt more empowered, strong or like I could conquer the world after giving birth without drugs. It was exhilarating and magnificent and I wanted to scream it from the mountains what I badass I felt like.

Hypnobabies works, stick with the program, even if you “fall asleep” every time you listen.
