Tatiana’s Calm, Fast Hypnobabies Birth

“The waves felt so light I could barely notice any tightening, which allowed me to get a great nap in before transformation (Hypnobabies term for transition).”

I had my third baby (second Hypno-baby) earlier this month. I was really surprised that all I wanted to listen to during my birthing time (Hypnobabies term for labor) was the Visualize Your Birth (Hypnobabies track to help visualize the perfect birth) and Birthing Day affirmations. They both seemed like lighter tracks to me but kept me so calm. Birth was my slowest yet at 5.5 hours including a big break in pressure waves (Hypnobabies term for contractions) for almost 2 hours as I stayed at 9 cm. The waves felt so light I could barely notice any tightening, which allowed me to get a great nap in before transformation (Hypnobabies term for transition).

But my favorite part of this birth were the intense waves from 4-9 cm

While I was pregnant my 2-year-old had a habit of running up to me, crashing her head into my big pregnant bump and giving me a big smile. It was always uncomfortable as she smashed her head into the bottom of my bump. During my first big wave I turned my light switch off (Hypnobabies tool for entering hypnosis), and went to my Special Safe Place except it wasn’t the place I had envisioned for 8 weeks, it was my 2-year-old hugging me, smashed her head into my belly as she smiled her giant joyful smile. It was such a beautiful surprise and made each wave so special that I easily smiled through them.

At 7:15 am after 2 hours of being at 9 cm and feeling really calm everyone decided to leave the room. Including my husband who took a very poorly timed bathroom break. Transformation started at 7:17 am, and baby girl came flying into the world at 7:31 am with half a push.
