I don’t know if this mom was using any special tools to stay so calm during her birth.
But this video demonstrates wonderfully how birth can be peaceful, calm and beautiful!

Truly beautiful! I couldn’t help but cry. I bet the nurse was so thankful to be a part of something so different and amazing!
Beautiful! What a gifted woman. I just finished reading Ina May Gaskin’s Guide to Childbirth and she talks about how singing is supposed to be great for opening the cervix and relaxing a woman. It must really work to relax a person. I think I would be too self aware to sing by myself…maybe if everyone sang with me though! 😉
If you were to sing right now, yes, you might be too self aware. But during a birth, you are much more in touch with your primal self rather than your analytical self. Singing is like a friend, and women often feel more comfortable singing than making random grunting noises!
Beautiful!
Wow, don’t make me cry at work! The nurse was crying too, I love it…amazing – that baby just had the best intro to life outside the womb ever!
