Using both VBAC and c-section tracks?

Hello! This is my third pregnancy, and I have a question regarding the use of the VBAC and c-section tracks. I have a c-section scheduled (first two births were via c-section), but plan on having a trial of labor/VBAC if I go into labor before my c-section date. Is it appropriate to listen to both the VBAC and c-section preparation tracks? I want to focus on having a VBAC, but have some anxiety about a third c-section and don't want to be unprepared if that's the way things go. Any input would be appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, Jenn! I actually completed the entire program (plus the VBAC tracks) with my second pregnancy when I was planning on having a natural VBAC. I was very diligent in listening to my tracks, had a great pregnancy and felt really prepared for an easy and beautiful birth. *BOP* Things ended up working out much differently than I had envisioned, which was hard after I had spent so much time preparing and was so certain that I would have a successful VBAC. I think Hypnobabies is amazing, though, and I'm using the program again this pregnancy. It's just been challenging to decide where to put my focus since I do have a c-section scheduled but will attempt a VBA2C if I go into labor before my c-section date ... but I will just have to make a decision and go with it. Thanks again for the response - it is appreciated!

When it comes to preparing for birth using hypnosis, a choice really needs to be made. If you were to prepare with both programs you will be giving your subconscious mind conflicting messages which would be confusing to the subconscious mind & not very effective.

One thing that might be helpful for you - the VBAC tracks are not designed to be a complete hypnosis for birth program. By themselves, they cannot prepare a mom for a VBAC birth experience with hypnosis. They're designed to augment the Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis  program (live classes or Home Study) with empowering suggestions and affirmations specific to moms are preparing for a VBAC birthing. So if you were to choose to prepare for a VBAC birthing, you should do the Hypnobabies Home Study Course (or find a live class near you) and use the VBAC tracks along with the entire program. The complete Hypnobabies program contains loads of information which empowers many women to trust that their bodies were designed for birthing. There is also a Fear Clearing session specifically to address specific fears and anxieties that may arise.

The Cesarean Birthing set prepares a mom for a planned cesarean birthing. The hypnotic suggestions are specific to a surgical birth. They are not designed to help a mom with hypnosis tools in the case of a surprise VBAC.

    I hope this helps.
