Brittany’s Beautiful Hypnobabies Birthing Time

“Hypnobabies absolutely helped me to keep calm during my speedy birthing time. My Peace cue kept baby Luke from arriving in the vehicle before the midwives arrived. I am forever grateful for this wonderful program that gave me the tools to have a beautiful birthing time.”

Luke Paul came fast and furious into the world on May 21st at 9:17 am, weighing 8lbs 13oz and 21.5 inches long.

birthing couple kneeling on bed just after baby bornFeeling anxious to meet my hypno-baby on Thursday (41W+2D) I downloaded and listened to the Come OUT Baby track (Hypnobabies track to encourage baby to be born) around 6 pm and went to bed later that evening as usual. At 7:30 the next morning I woke up before my alarm and everyone in the house, so I started the track again, half way through I started to have pressure waves (Hypnobabies term for contractions) that felt different than the waves I’ve had the past weeks.birthing person in birth tub holding new baby

My daughter crawls in the bed and asked for breakfast so I stopped my track and went to the restroom and to my surprise I see the slightest sign of bloody show, yay! I made a few calls to those that we planned to have in place for our birthing time (Hypnobabies term for labor) to give them a heads up that today could be the day! I continued having pressure waves, so I put myself in center (Hypnobabies tool for eyes-open hypnosis) and went the make breakfast for our family of three for hopefully the last time. A few minutes into cooking it became clear that I needed to focus my way through the pressure waves as they grew in intensity.

Things were moving so fast, growing so strong that I reached out to my midwife again to let her know I think we will have to meet sooner than expected based on my tracking and the pressure waves. My sister arrived and took over tracking when I suddenly start to feel the baby moving down, the waves were coming close together and I wasn’t getting a break (I was in transformation (Hypnobabies term for transition) unknowingly, thanks to Hypnobabies).Sibling meeting new baby brother

My sister called the midwife and said baby is moving down we need to meet now. I switched to center, and we all piled into the car and my husband set up the tracks to play for me on the drive (less than two miles thankfully). We beat the midwives and I had the strongest urge to push baby out and could feel him moving down with each wave! I used my Peace cue (Hypnobabies cue for instant physical comfort) over and over again to keep myself from pushing and keep my mind calm until they arrived. The midwives all arrived five minutes later, and we all rushed into the birthing center with no time to fill the tub! They prepped the bed in seconds and Luke was born four minutes after the midwives arrived, 9:17 am!

Everyone was in shock and in complete awe of me during everything and I can give full credit to Hypnobabies!
