Ashley’s Easy, Amazing 2nd Hypnobabies Birth 💜
“I had Powerful amazing pressure waves where I was soo in tune with her moving down about every 7-10 mins apart. I was having pressure waves in between those powerful waves but did not feel nor notice them whatsoever. I was absolutely in SHOCK at how easy and comfortable my birthing experience was going at this point in my transformation (Hypnobabies word for transition) process. It was truly calm and relaxing and empowering. Absolutely 100% easy.”
So yesterday I was scheduled for a BP check as well as non-stress test. I was 39.1. On Monday at my prenatal, I had elevated BP which was not my norm and I have a history of Preeclampsia with my first pregnancy. At the appt, my Dr and I discussed natural route induction options for me since I was already pretty cervically progressed.
After arrival yesterday and being monitored I was having pretty decent waves (Hypnobabies word for contractions) every 8-15 mins but I have been in my pre birthing time (Hypnobabies word for labor) since about 35 weeks, and I did not think twice about them. I started to listen to my tracks immediately to help ease my mind and get my practice in. As I was there my BP started to rise and was not going down only getting higher (which I’m very happy I was there for them to be able to see these spikes and catch it early on!!) My Dr. had discussed she could not let me leave with them elevated as high as they were so we would admit me and start induction. After arriving at the birthing suite, I had started breast pumping for nipple stimulation. While I did that they had hooked me up to monitor, get my BP, etc., and my waves naturally jumped to 4-5 mins on their own!
My Dr. and nursing staff TOTALY RESPECTED my natural birthing path and how I wanted no medical- very minimal intervention/cervical exams. My body absolutely took its time!!! At times I felt it was fluttering off (as it had previously built up for hours then stop and die down) but my body just wanted to go easy and slow. My nurses reassured me I was in no way needing to hurry up or be at a certain point by a certain time and my body is doing great! I had kept repeating my body knows what it’s doing for me and my baby and how to give birth in the right way for me.
I had imagined she would have been here by midnight but that had passed and I started to get flustered as I just wanted her in my arms. I decided to go ahead and get some rest and listen to my Easy First Stage (Hypnobabies main birthing day track) and Deepening track (Hypnobabies track to deepen the level of hypnosis). I SLEPT AND SLEPT HARD💜💜 I WAS HYPNO BLACKED OUT!! I was aware when my waves started to change and I could feel her descending down. I had gotten a few good ones and decided I’d let the nurses know I had started down that path of pressure wave (Hypnobabies word for contraction) change and would like to be checked. I was at 7.
Perfect 💜💜 we decided to call my Dr just in case as this is my 5th baby in 8 years. During this time, we had a thunderstorm system roll in and our room opens up on the top floor over the city, it was so amazingly beautiful to watch all the lightning and clouds light up orange. I was absolutely so at peace, smiling after each powerful pressure wave excited knowing she would be here soon.
My body STILL AT THIS POINT decided to go slow and easy. I had Powerful amazing pressure waves where I was soo in tune with her moving down about every 7-10 mins apart. Absolutely 100% easy.
I had decided to get on my ball to help open my pelvis. My key phrase was open open open as I welcomed each powerful pressure wave hugging me and my baby. As my transformation continued I decided to get some rest and did my deepening and got some more sleep. I had woken up to a beautiful powerful pressure wave that gave me a bare down pushy feeling. I called my nurses in to have my cervix checked to see if I was safe to do so (I usually have a lip) and I had a lip but cleared to start “breath pushing” (at this time I use my oohs and ahhs to keep my mouth open and relaxed as well as bottom open and relaxed) and may I add how amazingly empowering and strongly I felt my uterus and abs working together.
I felt soo strong 💪💪💪my Dr. and nurses helped me with different birthing positions and in the end, I felt better on my back slightly elevated and my legs being held far apart for me to help open open open as I birthed her. I wonderfully felt her crown and shoulders out, lol and screamed in delight and excitement and I got so excited and pushed, even more, to get her out in my arms. As soon as she was out those were my first words💜💜💜 “Give her to me, my sweet baby is here!”
This birth is my last birth (last baby) was absolutely sooo amazingly beautiful, calm, enjoyable and empowering. My best birth I had ever experienced and my body totally shocked me with how slow it went but it was absolutely perfect. The picture of me smiling with my husband, I was checked and at 9 cm. I was so happy and excited and ready to welcome the next stage in my birthing journey.
I am so grateful for this hospital, nursing staff and my doctor who are so amazing and 100% on the same page for my natural birthing journey. This hospital is amazing and I would recommend to anyone. My first 3 babies were epidurals. I didn’t have the wonderful support team I have at this hospital as I’ve had both my Hypnobabies natural births at. This makes all the world of a difference having the support from those around you💜💜 I love Hypnobabies and am so happy my last birth was the most beautiful, calm, easy uncomplicated birth I had ever had 💜💜
Each birth is truly different and exciting 💜, Oh and the nurse and staff were absolutely SHOCKED how happy I was in between my bearing down laughing smiling and in complete comfort. One nurse said after clean up from birthing that I had the highest “pain” tolerance she had ever seen. Lol no “pain” for me thank you to my Hypnobabies training. 💜💜💜
