Late but still great! Our hypno-baby, Wesley James, joined us on Feb. 10! Despite our “high risk” pregnancy due to my preexisting Type 1 Diabetes, we waited for our birthing time (Hypnobabies word for labor) to begin naturally at 41 weeks with the support of our awesome team of doctors.
As we know, babies are born on their birthdays, not when doctors decide, and my blood sugar control before and during pregnancy allowed us to wait patiently with confidence. My pressure waves (Hypnobabies word for contractions) began 5 minutes apart, so I skipped straight to the “Easy First Sage” track (Hypnobabies main birthing time track) and used that until it was time to push with “Pushing Baby Out track (Hypnobabies track just for pushing).”
The “Easy First Stage” track helped tremendously during transformation (Hypnobabies word for transition), along with my Peace cue (Hypnobabies special cue for instant physical comfort), helping me work through the intense sensations I had in my lower back and hips. Then, we got into the tub for pushing, and the water was also was a great relief.
